Point of View: The Supporter
Ever felt powerless when someone you love is battling cancer? Here's how I coped through the hardest moments. Tag someone who needs to hear this. When I first found out about Lee's diagnosis, disbelief washed over me. I was juggling work, trying to look composed, and all I could think about was the uncertainty ahead. The only thing I could do was research, seek answers, and lean on my parents for support. It was like being in a fog, grappling with emotions and finding strength in the unknown. Fast forward to 2003, when Lee had a serious accident. I panicked when I saw him flying through the air, but we got through it together. Move to 2016, and another cancer scare. The fear was real. I had my moments of weakness, but I learned to manage my emotions and focus on what really mattered: Lee's health and our family's well-being. Now, we’re on a mission to help others facing similar challenges. Exercise, journaling, and healthy living have become our anchors. I want to share our journey and help others navigate this tough terrain. What’s your advice for supporters? Let’s keep this conversation going.
