Lee Gravlee
Lee Gravlee was diagnosed in March of 2025 with Stage 4 Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer). This is the fourth recurrence and is now living with a stage four diagnosis.
He obtained a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and ran a Personal Training/Strength and Conditioning business for twenty two years.
Lee created Stage4Life to help cancer survivors and their supporters connect with genuine understanding and encouragement in welcoming spaces filled with people who truly know the journey.

Dr. Mollie DeShazo
Dr. Mollie DeShazo is a dedicated physician committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for patients with genitourinary cancers. She is known for her compassionate approach to medicine and her ability to build strong relationships with patients and their families. Dr. DeShazo believes that effective communication is essential to achieving the best possible health outcomes. She currently is on faculty in the UAB division of Hematology and Oncology/ Oneal Comprehensive Cancer Center. She enjoys teaching medicine and has received numerous teaching awards for interactions with trainees at UAB. Outside of her clinical work, Dr. DeShazo values time with her family and enjoys being part of her community.

Treasurer Randy Long
Randy Long is the retired CFO for Shook & Fletcher Insulation where he oversaw the financial and accounting functions of four companies for 13 years. Prior to that role, he served as Vice President of Finance, Manager of Corporate Finance, and worked in other finance positions for privately held and Fortune 350 companies. Randy is currently on the advisory board of La Casita-Guadalupan Multicultural Services and has been an advisory board member for Sonburst Ministries, the Vestavia Hills YMCA, and was a member of the audit committee at the YMCA of Greater Birmingham.
Amanda Raney
SecretaryAmanda Raney comes to Stage4Life’s board as she brings many years of experience at Morgan Stanley. She is passionate about using her knowledge of the broader organization and its resources to help bring the breadth and depth of Morgan Stanley's offerings to her clients and is a valued consultant at Stage4Life.
Davis Sarrett

Davis Sarrett develops creative, low-cost strategies to raise awareness of the non-profit’s mission, attract donors, and drive volunteer engagement. His role focuses on compelling storytelling, digital campaigns, social media, and volunteer recruitment tactics such as spotlights, challenges, and community events to inspire and retain supporters. Passionate about the cause, Davis aligns all efforts with the organization’s values to maximize impact on a limited budget.
Bruce Gouin is “semi-retired” and was the previous owner of Express Employment Professionals – Birmingham South, where they focused for 18 years on helping Birmingham area client businesses successfully manage their workforce.
Prior to owning a small business, Bruce was the President/CEO of SportsFirst, Inc. for 23 years and has served on the boards of Camp Smile-a-Mile, the Shelby County Chamber, Sonburst Ministries, Leadership Shelby County, Inverness Rotary, and the Summit Foundation.
Dr. Allen Cooper
Medical Advisor
Dr. Allen Cooper is a pulmonologist and internal medicine physician with 48 years of experience caring for patients with lung and respiratory conditions. His extensive background in pulmonology focuses on diagnosing and treating complex breathing disorders, while his internal medicine training provides comprehensive care for adult patients. Dr. Cooper's nearly five decades of practice reflect a deep commitment to respiratory health and patient wellness.
