A Day in the Life Con’t
Day in the Life Update:
The results of the Echocardiogram and the Stress Test are covered in the “Brief summary of beats the hell out of me” blog on the website (www.stage4life.org/blog). Basically, the stress test is believed to be a false positive.
As I stated before, one of the big hurdles is the constant diahrea due to the chemo pill. It’s been 1.5-2 months of 5 to 7 days on 2-3 days of reprieve, then it starts back. Monday night was the worst yet. 9 times from 12:20 am to 5:00am. By 11:00am - 12 times.
I hit the patient portal and told the oncologist doc what was going on. She was very concerned about the possibility of coloitis - inflammation of the bowels. I did tell her NP and my GP in previous appointments, but this got her attention. She told me to take Imodium AD and so far that has done the trick. She also told me to come off the chemo for 2-3 days.
I was shot all day and slept through most of it. To put things in perspective, since the calories were not going in, I’ve lost a ton of weight. Went from 170 in March to 140 as of Friday. Same with the chemo and thryroid pills. There’s no way I’ve been getting a full dose in awhile.
Things today look so much better. Everything is staying in and so far so good. This morning I’ve been working on posting on the website and social media posts. This afternoon will be working on a commission. It’s a couple of Shelties in colored pencil. I’ve been so busy with starting this non profit, building the website and trying to find product that art has taken the back seat. I’m really looking forward to it. Amy fixed loaded potatoes for lunch.
Side note …. Today is one of the first days I have no foot pain!!!! The neuropathy has disappeared … for now. It’ll be back as soon as I get active again.
